Dishes from Christmas Past

When I pull out my Christmas dishes every year, I have such fond memories! Years ago, when we first moved to Texas, my dear hubby & I scrounged around, after Christmas,  to many Target stores,  to collect a set. We both absolutely LOVE these dishes!! My daughter & I found even more to add to the collection.  Sadly, Target quit selling them,  but  at least I have ours!

I love this cheerful plate with the "sponge" border
A friend stenciled these cute napkins

I made this "Big Star" quilt in Christmas prints
A wooden Santa in a hurricane with pine cones

I am sharing with these wonderful blog parties:

  14. I can totally relate to going from one store to the next to find all the Christmas plates you need. Scrunged is a great word, visual and accurate. Your dishes are lovely, as is your design. Thanks for posting. ~CJ

  15. Those ARE cool dishes! I'm glad you were able to find enough to build a set. It's hard sometimes to do it after the season is over. I am one of those people who will patiently wait it out so that I don't have to pay full price, and sometimes it pays off...sometimes it doesn't. The gamble is kinda fun, though! :-) Beautiful quilt!!!!!! Have a Merry Christmas season!

  17. I love the tree in the center of your sponge ware Christmas china. You are fortunate to have found more of your pattern. It just seems more like Christmas when you unpack sentimental items. Your wooden Santa centerpiece is very cute. Merry Christmas and Happy Tablescaping. Pam
