Yield: 6
Cranberry BBQ Chicken
Ingredients
- 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 2 T. oil
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
- 1 c. BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Brown chicken in hot oil. Season with salt & pepper. Place in 9 x 13" dish. Sprinkle with the onion.
- Combine the sauces & pour over the chicken. Cover with foil & bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove foil for the last 30 minutes. Check the chicken to make sure the juices run clear.
Notes
NOTE: I really think this could be prepared in a slow cooker & cooked on low, all day. I would skip the browning.
Yum! I'm going to make this, I know it would be good, it reminds me of the meatballs made in a slow cooker with cranberry sauce over them.
ReplyDeleteI am ALWAYS trying to find new ways to cook (disguise) the chicken breast, we eat it nearly 3 times a week! This is a winner.
