I did a quick tablescape for Valentine's Day on the coffee table, since my hubby recently came home from the hopital. I used the barn wood box that my dear hubby made me back in December. I have always admired the pretty box that Marlis from Creative Journey's uses. Isn't it nice how we get inspiration from others? You can see how I did a makeover on the cherubs here.
We had pizza and used our Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castles. Who needs flatware when eating pizza?? We sure don't!! I placed them on a pretty runner and used red napkins to hide any tell-tale pizza stains.
For my hubby, I made his favorite meal after coming home from the hospital. You can read all about that pizza here. I hope you make some homemade pizza for someone you love.
My hubby's favorite candy bar is Snickers. I was in such a tizzy when I made these, that the caramel layer went on top...OOPS! Oh well, they still tasted good. The recipe for the homemade snickers can be found here.
I am sharing this with:

ReplyDeleteKitty, you are so precious to make a heart-shaped pizza for your hubby! He really is a lucky man! Your box with the cherubs is just perfect for a Valentine's table, and I love that you used your Old Britain Castle dishes. They're so pretty, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI hope you husband is making a speedy recovery, and I'll continue to pray for you both.
XO,

This is my kind of dinner. In fact, I could go for a slice right now. The table looks wonderful as well. I love the Old Britain Castles pattern.
ReplyDeleteYour coffee table setting is so pretty, Kitty. Love your Valentine welcome home for your hubby. Hope he feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteOK...I'm going to show my weird side here: I DO eat pizza with a knife ad fork!!! I can't help it!!! It's so messy and runny and gooey...I NEED a fork!!! I'm probably going to be ostracized by all for this horrid admission, but there...it's out there! I feel better! My name is Alycia, and I eat pizza with a fork!!! :-) Your heart shaped pizza is so cool! We rarely ever order pizza from a restaurant anymore. I almost always make it. Usually individual ones so everyone has the topping(s) they want. You really hooked up your wooden box!!! I had 3 or 4 of those boxes around here, but I can only seem to find one. I'll have to wait until Spring when we do our annual garage cleaning. I bought mine years and years ago to do a poppy display when I did a Wizard of Oz theme thing, but I haven't used them since. Congratulations on your big win over at Debbie's!!!!!! Have a great weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteThe pizza looks so delicous!
ReplyDeleteLove your heart shaped pizza! I have to remember this for next year! I saw that you won the house number sign - congrats!
ReplyDeleteKitty, That is beautiful. You must have an eye for color and placement. I hope all is well with y our husband.
