It's a beautiful day today, with temperatures in the 80's.
We can have either iced or hot tea.
I'm choosing iced in my new strawberry cup that I found at Home Sense. Do you have this store in your area? It's kind of like a big Tuesday Morning, but not an overwhelming sized store. I really liked it. I made the table topper years ago from a vintage tablecloth that my friend Joy gave me from her Mother-in-law's collection. I worked around some of the stains and cut out this pretty piece and lined it with the polka dot fabric and added the black rick rack.
This pretty teacup is a Grace's teaware one.
My friend Joyce brought me this delicious tea from one of her vacations, and it is so good!
This pie is so incredibly easy and hits the spot on a hot day. You can find the recipe here by clicking on the link for Strawberry Whipped Sensation Pie. However this time I added the whole tub of thawed frozen whipped topping to the pie, and just topped my slice with whipped cream and a strawberry.
Top left: 10 year old Harper mountain biked 100 miles just in the month of June; her goal is 500 miles for the year.
Top right: I had pizza with Avery and her boyfriend Landon.
Middle: We celebrated my beloved's birthday at Molly and Eric's with some of the family + two girlfriends.
Bottom: Some of us bought patriotic swimsuits to wear on the 4th and on other patriotic holidays. That's our instructor in front. In our Total Body Workout class we also dressed patriotically, and so did our instructor.
Please lift up prayers for all those affected from the Texas Hill Country floods, along the Guadalupe River. It's just so devastating with so many lives lost.
I'm sharing with these parties:
Oh that pie looks so delicious! I love your photo collage too; those swimsuits are very patriotic.
ReplyDeleteThat pie looks so yummy and on a nice summer day what a perfect desert. Loved that you and your workout class dressed cute for the 4th. My heart hurts for all of those children lost in the floods. Prayers for their families with this unbelievable loss. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Kitty. Butch and I are praying for all those so tragically impacted by the devastating flooding! It is unimaginable!
ReplyDeleteYour pie looks perfect for a summer day and I love the tablecloth you made! Don’t you ladies look so cute in your patriotic swimsuits! I enjoy seeing your family and the collage is just great! Wishing you a lovely week!
I love temperatures in the lower 80's for sure! Your pie looks delicious. Praying for Texas - so tragic!
ReplyDeleteI love the pretty tablecloth you made and the pie looks so good. Have a nice week Kitty.
ReplyDeleteKitty, the strawberry pie looks scrumptious!! I still remember your signature strawberry pie that we ate at your house on one of Rich’s birthdays I believe. Best strawberry pie every!! Hope all is well with you! I’m recovering from surgery, do I get a pie? LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe pie and iced tea are great! I bought the strawberry vanilla tea Pam wrote about, and have been drinking it iced every day while I go outside in the mornings to water the garden.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your family and personal celebrations. You are truly a role model, Kitty, both as a family matriarch and as a woman aging with so much grace! You are fabulous and so inspiring!
Kitty that pie looks so good....and how talented you are to re-construct the pretty tablecloth. We did have a Home Sense store but it soon went out of business because of covid. 🥴. I love the red, white and blue and seeing your swimsuits made me want one. I bought hot pads and apron with fireworks icons on them and I was so excited to get them to wear for the week-end. I also like your collage of pics showing your wonderful family. You are truly blessed my friend..and I am thankful for meeting you virtually. The Captain and I are praying for the victims of the awful flood in Texas. The little ones are in the arms of our Savior now.🌸🇺🇸🙏🏻
