My usual breakfast is my Crustless Quiche, which I love and make regularly and freeze in portions, but I saw this recipe on Facebook and wanted to try it. It is so filling!! The pretty lace tablecloth is from my friend Sarah, which she shared with me from her beloved mother's collection. It's in perfect condition. She also gave me a pink underlay tablecloth that I will use at another time.
I thought my bee tea pot would look pretty on my table.
The Royal Albert July teacup picks up the blue in the teapot.
This teapot planter from my sister holds a new succulent because something ate what I had planted in it previously.

Chia Seed Protein Breakfast Pudding
This breakfast is so filling! I found the recipe on Facebook and it keeps me full for 6 hours. I think the recipe was for one serving, but 2 servings is right for me.
Ingredients
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 1 cup Greek high protein yogurt, I used vanilla
- 1 scoop protein powder, I used vanilla
- 1/2 cup milk of choice, I used whole milk
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- blueberries for serving, and or a tablespoon of berry jam
Instructions
- In a medium sized bowl, mix well the oats, Greek yogurt, protein powder, milk, and chia seeds.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight to let the oats and chia seeds expand.
- In the morning, top with blueberries and or a drizzle of jam, if desired.
Thank you for your visit! xo
I'm sharing with these parties:
Such a pretty lace tablecloth for your bee teapot and your July tea cup. Thanks for the high protein breakfast pudding recipe. Like you, I typically have a breakfast with eggs, but I'm going to make this to change things up. I just picked blueberries with the grandchildren on Saturday, so perfect timing to add blueberries to the breakfast pudding. Have a nice week Kitty. xo
ReplyDeleteThat sounds yummy! I have made chia seed protein pudding before but without the oats (though I often put a bit of granola on top anyway because I'm not a huge fan of the texture of the chia seeds).
ReplyDeleteLovely post and pretties! I will enjoy some chia pudding this AM that I made yesterday with blueberries. LOVE the stuff. I know it can be warmed but I prefer mine cold. Thanks for this great recipe. Have a wonderful week. XO
ReplyDeleteThis sounds yummy. Have a fabulous week. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteYour breakfast sounds delightful. I love your teapot. It is so cheerful and makes me smile. I may have to make this one morning. I fast until lunch time each day and I would enjoy this for lunch very much. Enjoy your day my friend.
ReplyDeleteYour tables are always set so beautifully, Kitty. You have such a lovely collection of cups and teapots, I always get lost in the pictures! I've never had chia seeds, can you believe it? Might have to check them out and try your recipe!! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteKitty I love your pretty table and of course your adorable July tea cup. It does pick up the blue on your lovely bee tea pot. And speaking of tea pots I would like a planter tea pot like yours...do you know where your sister got it? Yes, the blueberries are plentiful right now and I will keep this recipe in mind for future breakfasts. I like a big bacon, eggs and toast breakfast but these days something light is called for. Stay cool and safe, Blessings Always
ReplyDeleteOf course I love your bee teapot Kitty! 🐝 Your July teacup is so sweet too on your pretty lace tablecloth. Your breakfast pudding sounds perfect and so healthy for summer. I love the protein boost from the powder and addition of the chia seeds for omega-3s. I have tried to do overnight oats but I’m not an oatmeal lover, it’s a texture thing for me. Hope you’re managing to stay cool, enjoy your week! 💙
