Chocolate Covered Strawberry Turkeys

Let's talk turkeys today!

It's strawberry turkey talk!  My darling daughter is always sending me fun things that she finds, and these chocolate covered strawberry turkeys are one that she sent recently.

First you need to have cleaned and dried strawberries for your turkeys, along with pretzel sticks, mini marshmallows, and chocolate for melting.  I used Almond Bark, but you could use  CandiQuick, or even chocolate chips.

Break your pretzel sticks in half and place a mini marshmallow on each end.  These will be your drumsticks.  Melt your chocolate according to directions on the package.  I used my microwave for melting the chocolate.

Add a dab of melted chocolate to the inside of the marshmallow and attach it to the body of the strawberry.  Let this set up to harden.  It doesn't take long.  After the "drumsticks" have set up, dip the "turkey" body into the melted chocolate, using three toothpicks in the stem to hold onto.

There you have it!  The cutest strawberry turkeys ever! Wouldn't it be nice to put one at each person's place setting?

Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends!

Thank you for your visit!  xo

  16. Your chocolate-covered strawberry turkeys are adorable, Kitty! They would be so cute on each place setting if we were seeing our grandsons this year, which we aren't :( It's the in-law's year. I will pin them for next yea though! We actually counted 19 turkeys walking through our yard yesterday. Not only are we on a deer crossing we are now on a turkey crossing too. They even roost in our tall maple trees at night - LOL.
