Here's a "before" we put them on the grill picture. |
For each packet:
1 potato, peeled and sliced thinly
some green onions, sliced
bacon, cooked and crumbled
a pat of butter
a handful of grated cheese
Ready for the grill. |
Spray the aluminum foil square with cooking spray. Add the potato and the rest of the ingredients. Fold the square, making sure to double seal all the openings, but leaving room for expansion.
Place the packets onto the the preheated grill and cook for about 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are cooked through. You can flip the packets halfway through.
Be careful when opening, as the steam is very HOT!

ReplyDeleteMMMMMMMMMM never fails I get SO hungry when I read your wonderful blog!
ReplyDeleteFunny you are "married" our two favorites - I'm Irish and a day without a potato is like a day w/o sunshine...and for Mr. Finch Rest? He feels that way about All Things Bacon!
Going to have to try this one very soon.
Have a blessed weekend, my friend.
Delicious! I will definitely remember these when it's too hot for the oven...which has pretty much been every day this summer!
ReplyDeleteThis looks absolutely delicious! Thanks for sharing.

You can also add a ground beef patty or a boneless, skinless chicken breast and a tomato or worcestershire sauce for a whole meal pouch. My kids love to do their own with their choice of my prepared ingredients.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for summer when you don't want to heat up your house with the oven. I "made up" something similar many years ago when we lived in the islands and we did not have air-conditioning at the time. I love that you've used bacon. Everything is better with bacon.
