Ready for toasting! I used raffia & ribbon to embellish. |
Here's what you need to make these:
clean jelly jars
clean glass candle holders (Dollar Tree)
glass bond (Hobby Lobby)
re-usable stencils (Hobby Lobby)
Armour Etch glass etching cream (Hobby Lobby)
disposable gloves to protect hands
ribbon, etc. for embellishment
Follow the instructions for etching the stencil onto the glass jelly jar. You could easily omit this step, if desired.
Attach the candle holder to the jelly jar & let dry 24 hours. Embellish your goblet however you choose. I've seen crystals glued on, also. I would only hand wash these goblets.
Use your coupons at Hobby Lobby. |
Use painters tape to secure stencil. |
Finished goblet! You can also use pint-size canning jars, which would be nice for ice tea! I am sharing this with: Make the Scene Monday Mix It Up Monday! Metamorphosis Monday Cozy Home Party Table Top Tuesday Wow Us Wednesday Thriving on Thursday Seasonal Sundays |
A wonderful project! How very special!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super idea! I've made a 2 tiered stand with two plates and a candle holder between them. Love the personalization touch too. You have a lovely blog!

ReplyDeleteI must be living under a rock because I don't remember seeing these before. I know I have seen candleholders glued to other things, but not this kind of jar. They are very cute and creative. Thanks for teaching us how easy these goblets are to make! Thanks for linking them to the Your Cozy Home Party!

They are neat! I'd like to try that etching, I always say it but don't do it! I saw some nice Cyrsal glasses in the 99 cent store, I should try it!
ReplyDeleteBeing the country Maine girl that I am, we drink out of jelly jars and the bigger ones for our cocktails. So I guess I need to come up in the world and make some like your goblets. Love them...... I am following along, that you for visiting and following the wednesday baker Andi
