Grilled Tilapia

This new stainless steel platter is from Target!  I'm sharing at Let's Dish!
I love tilapia because it's a mild flavored fish and cooking it on the grill saves clean-up.  I know it's the last week of Lent, but this is good any time and it's such an easy recipe.  I hope you give it a try and use the spices that you love.

4 Tilapia filets
1/2 t. each of salt and pepper
1 t. Garlic and Herb seasoning
1 t. Cajun seasoning

Mix the seasonings together.

Preheat the gill to high.  Fold a piece of heavy-duty foil in half making sure that it is big enough to hold the filets.  Rub the foil with olive oil.

Dry the filets with a paper towel and then rub them with olive oil.  Place the filets on the foil and sprinkle with the seasonings.  Place the foil with the filets on the grill and close the lid.  Stay at the grill and check for doneness in 5 minutes.  Remove from the grill and serve.  Thank yourself for serving a healthy meal!

  1. We eat fish all year, not just Lenten fridays - and Tilapia is def one of our favorites.

Did you know it is also called St. Peter's Fish in some regions?

Thank you for yet another wonderful recipe, Kitty!

  6. This is one of my favorite ways to prepare fish. Grilling is so easy and a sprinkling of seasonings is all the fish needs. Have a great weekend.

  7. Yay!!! I just signed up to get all your blog posts via email now! Yipee! Well done, Kitty & I think it looks fine right where it is. Too often, I have to hunt for them & give up before signing up.

Your fish sound yummy. I've always topped ours with minced garlic in butter, some panko bread crumbs (OR instant potato flakes work great, too!) then Parmesan cheese. I will try Cajun seasoning next time.
Pretty platter, too. I need to shop my Target more often.

    Hugs & Happy Easter!

  12. I have tried and tried to get my husband to love talapia. He eats it, but he doesn't love it. I've never tried cajun seasoning so I'll try that next!
