This new stainless steel platter is from Target! I'm sharing at Let's Dish! |
4 Tilapia filets
1/2 t. each of salt and pepper
1 t. Garlic and Herb seasoning
1 t. Cajun seasoning
Mix the seasonings together.
Preheat the gill to high. Fold a piece of heavy-duty foil in half making sure that it is big enough to hold the filets. Rub the foil with olive oil.
Dry the filets with a paper towel and then rub them with olive oil. Place the filets on the foil and sprinkle with the seasonings. Place the foil with the filets on the grill and close the lid. Stay at the grill and check for doneness in 5 minutes. Remove from the grill and serve. Thank yourself for serving a healthy meal!

We eat fish all year, not just Lenten fridays - and Tilapia is def one of our favorites.
ReplyDeleteDid you know it is also called St. Peter's Fish in some regions?
Thank you for yet another wonderful recipe, Kitty!
I'm always looking for good fish-on-the-grill recipes and we like tilapia, so I think I'll do this tomorrow. The cajun will add a little surprise element! Linda
ReplyDeleteOhh I absolutely love Tilapia, Kitty and your grilled Tilapia is making me drool and I can't wait to try this:) Hope you are doing fine, my dear and wish you a very happy Easter:)
ReplyDeleteKitty, I have never grilled Talapia, but will certainly give it a try now. Love and hugs, Patsy
ReplyDeleteI have never made tilapia on the grill, yours looks very good! Also love the big stainless platter!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite ways to prepare fish. Grilling is so easy and a sprinkling of seasonings is all the fish needs. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYay!!! I just signed up to get all your blog posts via email now! Yipee! Well done, Kitty & I think it looks fine right where it is. Too often, I have to hunt for them & give up before signing up.
ReplyDeleteYour fish sound yummy. I've always topped ours with minced garlic in butter, some panko bread crumbs (OR instant potato flakes work great, too!) then Parmesan cheese. I will try Cajun seasoning next time.
Pretty platter, too. I need to shop my Target more often.
Hugs & Happy Easter!

I'm so glad you shared this! My hubbie and I have vowed to add more fish into our diet - easy for me, tough for him - and tilapia is a wonderfully mild fish to eat. Going to pin it to my recipe board. Hope you and your family enjoyed a blessed Easter!
ReplyDeleteNo fish for me! I am so glad Lent is over so I don't have to eat it till next year! The platter is very interesting! I will look in Target the next time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Let's Dish!
I have tried and tried to get my husband to love talapia. He eats it, but he doesn't love it. I've never tried cajun seasoning so I'll try that next!
ReplyDeleteNever tried the cajun seasoning on tilapia...will definitely need to try it...love the platter!
ReplyDeleteLove tilapia! It seems to adapt to any seasoning you put with it. Pretty tray! xo marlis
