Tea on Tuesday for a Cozy Valentine Tea

Mary and Pam invited me to join them for Tea on Tuesday!

What an honor it is to join Mary and Pam for a special Valentine edition.  Please make sure you visit their parties at the bottom of the page because you will be in for a lovely Valentine's Day treat.

My cozy teatime is taking place in my bedroom by my Valentine tree that's on my old sled.  Ornaments were made from the leftover fabric and ironed onto heat 'n bond and felt as the backing.  My new piece of furniture is this electric fireplace mantle that I'm so enthralled with.  It can have heat or not, different flame colors and a timer.  The crocheted heart garland was made years ago.  My framed heart picture is from YouTube and the exciting part is that I figured it out all by myself!!  It truly transforms a TV.  High School pictures of my beautiful children always make me smile.

The vintage like fabric for my tablecloth was made years ago and the tea cozy matches.  Roses in my rose bowl were from Trader Joe's, who has the freshest flowers. The heart shaped bowls are also old and came from the now long gone JoAnn fabrics, and the delicate roses hankie is from my little mom.

This darling heart shaped glass teacup and saucer with heart spoon was an Amazon purchase.  Isn't so pretty how the tea forms a heart?

This tea is so perfect for Valentine's Day and with desserts.  However, sipping it is a dessert in itself!

This Brownie Pudding is really quite magical!  It's from an old Better Homes and Gardens Dessert Cookbook that I started using as a new bride.  This recipe was before Chocolate Lava cakes became popular.  It forms it's own sauce and the two layers actually change places.    I hope you can make it and share it with someone you love.  The recipe can be found here.

This is how the dessert looks before baking and then.....

This is the brownie pudding after baking!

  1. Good morning Kitty! You new fireplace and mantle makes your bedroom so cozy! I know you are enjoying it and it add sso much ambiance for breakfast in bed or a spot for a cozy cup of tea. I have long admired your tablecloth with matching tea cozy and ornaments. Your tree is so sweet on your sled with your bear…isn’t it amazing how twinkle lights make things so cheery and bright in the winter? Your brownie pudding looks so good too with the chocolaty sauce and perfect with your TJ Cocoa Berry tea! (oh to have a Trader Joe’s nearby…their selection of flowers can’t be beat.) Your heart shaped mug and spoon are so festive too. Pam and I are so happy to have you join us for tea today. I hope you’re staying warm and cozy this week! 💕☕

The hankie is special, as are the framed photos of your dear children. I really love this. The fireplace is the perfect addition and I'm proud of you for setting up the framed print on the TV! I'd be proud of myself too! Happy tea on Tuesday.

  3. Kitty, my comments just left. I will try again! Your bedroom is a beautiful sanctuary like Rita said. The fireplace and mantle give the room a cozy feel that I wouldn’t want to leave. The tablecloth and tea cozy are so perfect for your Valentine’s tea table. How sweet is your tree on your sled. As a young bride, I also made the brownie pudding. I must make it soon, it was always so delicious. The flowers are just lovely, wish I had a Trader Joe’s. I love seeing the photos of your children, it pulls at my heartstrings.

It is always a pleasure to have you join Mary and me for tea❤️

  6. Kitty, you know I had to print your brownie dessert recipe and put in my file. I expect my Friday Bible Study ladies will appreciate it for a Valentine's dessert very soon. How wonderful you were able to master a you tube screen saver for your TV. I must learn how to do that also. ¥our mantle is lovely and your table is so inviting. Love the tea cozy matching the tablecloth. The flowers are beautiful from Trader Joe's...I enjoy their lasting qualities compared to my local supermarket. Have a great and Blessed day my friend. And stay warm and cozy by your fireplace. 🥰❤️

  9. Oh Kitty, I'm thrilled at your lovely Valentine's tea pretties. very inspiring. I love you've set it in your bedroom where you are enjoying your new fireplace/mantle. It's so cozy there, seeing the photos of your children, the pic over the fireplace and the little tree. I have to try your chocolate recipe. I had a similar I have been using since our son was young but it has been lost in the move. Thanks for sharing and Happy Valentine's Day.......

  10. Kitty, your heart themed Valentine tea time warms my heart on this cold January day here in Austin. The weather man says we need to prepare. Seems a major cold blast is coming our way soon. More so for you up in the Dallas area! Stay safe and warm. Like you, the tea in the heart shaped cup is perfect, especially for your yummy dessert. I'll have to try the chocolate pudding. I celebrated my birthday Sunday evening with dinner out with friends. The restaurant presented me with the most delicious Chocolate Sundae complete with candle and large server full of the tastiest chocolate sauce. We were each treating ourselves to a spoon full. Yummy!!! Your dish immediately brought back sensory memory of Sunday evening! Happy Tea Time, Kitty. It's always a treat!
