Family Vacation in Mexico

Our Family Vacation was at Barcelo Maya Palace All-Inclusive Resort.

This resort is in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, about an hour from the Cancun airport.  We had five bedrooms in all, one for Molly and me, another for Tim and Julie, one for Kevin, Kristen and their girls, and one for the guys, and one for the teenage girls.  Three of the bedrooms for the older adults were on the ground floor with sliding doors to the patio and right out to the pool.

The resort had a beautiful dandy beach shaded with palm trees.  This picture is with my kids, from left to right: Molly, Mike, me, Tim and Kevin.

This picture is with seven of my eight grandchildren, left to right: Caiden, City, Hayden, me, Harper, Ella, Avery, and Riley, who just made it in on leave from South Korea!  Connor, my oldest grandchild had to stay behind to work.

This is with my oldest child Molly's family, left to right: Liz, Caiden's girlfriend, Caiden, Riley, Molly, me and Cissy.  Molly's hubby Eric was unable to come also.

This is with my second oldest Tim's family, left to right: Avery, Julie, Tim, me, and Ella.

This is Mike, my third child,  being silly by posing like the teenage girls did every night.  Avery took over 1000 photos!

Lastly is with my youngest child Kevin's family, left to right:  Hayden, Kristen, me, Kevin, and Harper.

There was a hydrotherapy spa experience at the resort that we could use, which included a sauna, steam room, showers with different scents, a hot tub, and cold plunge, all of which were indoors, and then this outdoor pool with three different shower massages.  Before you began, there were three different waters to try; one was plain water, another was cucumber and a third was chlorophyl, which most of us liked the best.

We had nightly entertainment in the theater, with "Michael Jackson" being on this night.  Other shows were a circus act and a Mexican Fiesta.

We had three buffets to choose from with everything imaginable.

We had reservations at two of the restaurants: one was at the French and the other at the Steak restaurant.

The kids enjoyed the food!  It's nice to see them dress up for the restaurants.

This was my dessert at the French restaurant which was a chocolate box filled with four delicious candies.  My meal was chateaubriand.

Adios Mexico!  What a blessing it was to be with family.

The two roommates with their matching pj's say buenas noches!

The waiters brought this to our table on our last day before our transportation came for the airport.

Cissy and Avery say.....hasta la proxima!

Thank you for your visit!  xo

I'm sharing with these parties:
