Spring Tea Party

My water aerobics group has lunches every two months.

I volunteered for the Spring party and to have a tea.  The ladies really seem to enjoy this, and it's the third time that I've hosted it.  A friend helped me set up for 27 guests, but at the end 5 couldn't make it.

Another friend has extra tables and chairs that she brought by.

It's a great way to use my pretty teacups.  I really enjoy setting up and buying flowers to make it look pretty.

This pretty tablecloth was embroidered by my mom.  Everyone brings either an appetizer, salad, or dessert.  Some ladies wear hats or fascinators, which makes it extra fun.  It's a relaxing party and nice for the ladies to pick their teas and to sit and talk.

We had deviled eggs, spring rolls, stuffed dates, meatballs, pasta salad, spinach salad, cucumber sandwiches, tuna salad on croissants, fruit platters, and fruit salad, orange salad, and desserts of lemon bars lemon cake, banana bread and I made mini fruit pizzas.

Thank you for your visit!  xo

  10. Hi Kitty,

What a great party! These are some lucky ladies to be able to have tea in such a pretty setting as you've put together. I love all the tables, but your mom's embroidered tablecloth is the prettiest. You have a lovely collection of china teacups, and what a fun way to use them. I started collecting teacups a few years ago because whole place settings of china take up too much storage space. :)

All of the food sounds delicious, and I love the hats. So very English! :) Come visit my blog sometime -- I really miss your visits.

    Hugs to you,

    Denise at Forest Manor

  12. You are a wonderful hostess. Without women like you, there'd be no times of fellowship like these. I think that they are more important than ever.

  14. How much fun Kitty! Setting 27 places is a challenge, but I know you have plenty of teacups! The tables looked so pretty~ I love that the ladies dress up, and it’s so nice that everyone brings something so you don’t have to provide all the food. What a fun group!

  17. A tea party can be so much fun to organize and get going. I love that crochet cloth, as it so reminds me of my late mom.
