Oh my goodness, this braided lemon bread is so tasty, and if you're a lemon lover, you'll love it!
My sister sent me this darling teapot planter. Isn't it the cutest?? I put a succulent in it and it's sprouting babies already.
A sweet friend of mine sent me this beautiful teacup with butterflies and iris on it. I don't grow any iris, but I'm happy to have them on my pretty teacup.
The recipe from King Arthur Baking for the Braided Lemon Bread, can be found here. I'm not typing the recipe out because they gave excellent directions and I didn't change anything. My friend, Jackie, gave me a jar of homemade lemon curd, and I used that in this recipe, and brought Jackie half of a loaf of this bread for her to enjoy. I tried two different sprinkles to see which was the best. I think that they both turned out pretty.
I hope you try this!
I sure enjoyed my slice!
Thank you for your visit! xo

ReplyDeleteOh my, Kitty, your bread looks amazing! I love anything lemony. Years ago, I used to bake bread once a week and cinnamon braids were always something I did at the same time. Miss those days, and the bread! Your teapot planter is adorable and I love the succulent in it. Plants don't like my house because it is too warm. Nothing survives for very long. My son suggested succulents and after seeing yours, I just might get some. They really are nice plants. Wishing you a lovely week, Kitty. Hugs...Sandi
