Frankenstein Pudding Cups

It's finally cold here in Texas, and my tea is inside for today.  Mr. Bear even had to put on a BOO sweater to be our host.

I made this hand appliqued piece years ago, but it originally had been framed in a large hoop.  Does anyone remember those?  I changed it into a pillow to use on my sofa.

This ghost I machine appliqued,  and it is 30+ years old.

Here's Cissy with her Frankenstein pudding cups that she's ready to take home to her siblings.  Didn't she do a great job?  The doggy dressed in a ghost costume plays the "Ghostbusters" song, and we were dancing around my kitchen to the tune!

Yield: 4-5 cups

Frankenstein Pudding Cups

I bought clear cups from the Dollar Tree to use for the pudding. Don't they make a fun Halloween treat? Use a black permanent marker for the face, and have a glue gun handy for the ears.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Homemade or boxed vanilla pudding, tinted green
  • Thawed frozen whipped topping, or homemade whipped cream
  • Chocolate Sandwich cookies
  • Rolos

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Make your vanilla pudding and tint it green. Fold in several scoops of thawed frozen whipped topping, or homemade whipped cream. Set aside.
  2. Crush some chocolate sandwich cookies in the food processor, or by hand in a food storage bag, with a rolling pin.
  3. Fill the cups with the pudding mixture. Add about an inch of the crushed cookies for Frankenstein's hair.
  4. Add the facial features and a scar. Glue on the Rolo candies for the ears. There you have it...a cute and edible Halloween treat!
