Pink Tea

Sandi, at Rose Chintz Cottage is having a tea at Tea Time Tuesday in honor of breast cancer awareness.  I have a candle lit for all survivors and those who have lost their lives to not only breast cancer, but all cancers.  My dear hubby recently passed away from prostate cancer and this is to honor him, too.  Everyday I pray for a cure for cancer.

Panera Bakery has pink bagels this month, shaped in the cancer symbol, and flavored with cherry vanilla.  As a side note, bagels are only $6.99 a baker's dozen on Tuesdays at Panera.  My favorite is the cinnamon crunch bagel!!

This beautiful teacup was given to me from my dear friend,  Pat, on my birthday.  The strawberry tea was sent by my sweet friend.  Sandi.

The strawberry tea looks so dark in the picture, but it's really a beautiful shade of deep pink!  Oh my, does it ever taste wonderful and perfect with the cherry vanilla bagel.
Thank you, Sandi!

  4. Hi Kitty,

That teacup is SO PRETTY!! I just love the pretty pink and white rose pattern. Cinnamon and raisin is my favorite flavor of bagel, too. :)

I think a cure for cancer is such a good thing to pray for. So many of our lives are affected by it; I don't know of any family who hasn't been touched by it. I will add my prayers to yours. This is a lovely post.

  9. Yes, I also prayer for a cure. I lost my father, my favorite aunt, a dear uncle and a very dear friend to that disease. I wish I wasn't so bogged down I would have loved to show off some pretty pink dishes I have for tea, oh well. I enjoy Panera bagels, I have had the ribbon one this week. xo

  10. What a neat find! I haven't seen any of our bakers around here doing it, but I DID see football players with pink socks and bands yesterday...

  11. Dear Kitty, What a beautiful tribute to the Cancer awareness which includes your husband. I am so glad you included the Panera pink bagel for I will certainly participate to honor Breast Cancer. Your teacup and saucer was a lovely gift from your friend. Have a great week!

  12. Hello dear Kitty,
The bagel is a wonderful way to get the message out and your teacup is very pretty from a thoughtful friend. Cancer; whether breast, prostate, bone, etc., is heartbreaking for everyone. You have so recently lost your dear mate and I am truly honoured that you have joined me today for my special Pink Tea Party. You know well the pain of loss and yet you bear it so gracefully. You are still in my prayers, Kitty, and I think of you often. Thank you for joining me today, my sweet friend.

    Blessings & hugs,
