Favorite Garden Center Win!

This was my giveaway win from my favorite garden center!

I was emailing Kim from Exquisitely Unremarkable recently because she thinks I have a busy life, and I do keep busy with family and friends, but I'm pretty boring in the evening (I'm so tired!).   Kim is always doing fun and creative projects with so much inspiration.  I had told her that I was going to go to Trader Joe's and my garden center on Saturday.   After Trader Joe's,  I headed to Calloway's Nursery, which is my favorite nursery,  to hear a talk on the First Look at the 2026 Rose Collection .  They first passed out a little goody bag and we were to help ourselves to a can of Raspberry Rose Poppi soda, which I was excited to try.   I wanted to learn about roses and buy one for a spot that I have on my side yard.  We all filled out a giveaway form for the wonderful table of prizes and we put them in a box.  I couldn't believe it, but after the talk was over, the box was shaken with all the names in it, and my name was drawn and I received that gorgeous Shania Twain rose bush, the two bags of organic products, a ginormous bag of tree and shrub soil, and a real rose that was preserved and dipped in 24 karat gold! I am also being emailed a $25 coupon to use towards Steven Singer Jewelers, who the rose came from.  I was truly thrilled to receive such wonderful gardening gifts, and the theme was so thoughtfully planned out.

It was raining and I set up a tray to celebrate with a rose teapot, teacup, and to show you the goody bag, the Poppi Raspberry Rose soda, which was so good, and my 24 karat dipped real rose.

I was thrilled to receive the goody bag that had rosy lips lip balm, a rose soap, kisses, and a little rose pin, and to learn all about roses.  Little did I know that I'd be the big winner of the fabulous giveaway!

Talk about winning....Granddaughter Harper competed in a mountain biking race in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and came in first place in her age division, and my son said that her time beat all the boys in their race.  She's really fast!

Thank you for your visit!  xo

  4. Oh Kitty how wonderful you won the great prize....I am anxious to see your rose planted. ( I love the name of the rose.). Many years ago (in Kansas) I had a large rose garden and it was filled with tea roses. I knew the name and characteristics of each and every rose...and needless to say, Jackson & Perkins LOVED me as I was also one of their testers for new roses and got to suggest names for a mystery rose they shipped me to grow and 'test'. BTW, they never used any of my rose name suggestions. LOL. I had a 'number on the rose' but most likely "they" had already picked out a name and just wanted confirmation that the rose would grow well in my zone. But that was ok, the rose (root) was free and it was fun seeing what color it turned out to be. I think I had many favorites but at that time, the Peace rose, Tropicana rose and Abe Lincoln were special.
Congrats to Harper! She is quite the little competitor! Good for her! Who knows? she might one day be in the Olympics! Have a wonderful and Blessed week...love your smile in the first photo...it made me smile too.

  12. Oh Kitty, YAY!! What a fantastic giveaway! I use the heck out of Biotone, I love it. I use it every time I plant a new plant (other than succulents, they like to be pretty much left alone from fertilizer). Beautiful roses, and great swag. And Harper, YAY! I am so impressed with her athleticism. It had to feel especially good, not only beating the girls' time, but the boys too!🏆
