I'm pretending today!
I'm wishing that my youngest granddaughters were at my table and had helped me make the flip flop cookies. They would've loved it! My fitness club had water activities and somehow I won the swimming contest and the cute pineapple drink containers were my prize and they light up at the bottom. I've saved them for Harper and Hayden and maybe we will get the chance to make the cookies soon. They both love Nutter Butters. The yellow fruit in the cups is NOT pineapple, although it looks like it! It's yellow watermelon and it's very good. Have you had any?
I had my son, Mike, take a picture of me before I headed to our fun Luau themed aqua party where everyone signs up for a dish to share, and dresses accordingly. The sarong that I'm wearing was one that I brought back from my beloved's and my 25th wedding anniversary to Maui and Kauai back in 1995. I never wore it and had to look up how to fashion it into an outfit.
These are so fun and quick to make!
This is the icing that I used that makes it so easy!
Yield: as many as you like

Flip Flop Nutter Butter Treats
I made these many years ago with my older grandchildren after seeing a picture of them. They're so easy to do.
Ingredients
- 1 pkg of Nutter Butter Cookies
- Betty Crocker Cookie Icing (this makes it so easy)
- assorted colored sugar or other decorations
Instructions
- Make a V shape on the cookie by starting on the left middle and go down to the toe area and then back up to the right middle.
- I used a funnel to place over the area where I wanted the colored sugar to land so as not to get it everywhere. You could also use a tiny M&M there or another decorative sprinkle. Do the sprinkles quickly before the icing hardens. I did 5-6 at a time.
- Enjoy!
Notes
You could always make your own icing and use a piping bag and tip.
Thank you for your visit! xo
