For all of you that love salmon, this marinade is so good! I had this salmon at a friend's house and the marinade makes it so tasty. I could eat this dish every week!
Yield: enough for 2 lbs. of salmonGrilled Salmon Marinade
This marinade makes for such a moist, incredibly delicious salmon.Ingredients
- 3 T. lemon juice
- 2 T. Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 t. dried basil
- 1/8 cup olive oil
- 1/8 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- freshly ground black pepper
- 2 lbs. salmon
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients together in a large ziplock food storage bag.
- Place the salmon in the bag, close and marinate for 2-3 hours.
- When ready to grill, prepare the grill on high, place the salmon skin side down on the hot grates. Close the lid, and grill for about 5 minutes.
- Flip the salmon over (I use a grill mat on the other side of my grill when I flip the salmon over), and peel the skin off, and continue to cook until done. I suppose you could use a piece of foil to slip the salmon onto, or you could cook it on a cedar plank.
Notes
I cut the recipe in half for the marinade because I only grilled 1 lb. of salmon. The extras make for a great addition to a salad.

Your grilled salmon looks yummy . I make a similar version with kind of a teriyaki sauce. Paul loves it and he really doesn't care for salmon.
ReplyDeleteKitty, hi! I love salmon grilled or broiled with a good marinade. And then served with a hefty slice of lemon to squeeze on top. Yum! Thanks for always giving us another delicious recipe. I've saved so many of them.
ReplyDeleteYum! Thanks for posting, Kitty!
ReplyDeleteWe eat salmon at least twice a month and grilling is our favorite way to make it! Looking at the ingredients, this sounds like a delightful recipe, Kitty. Hope you aren't in the worst heat areas in Texas. Read about the heat wave!
