Going Away to Boot Camp Party

My daughter had a Going Away to Boot Camp Party for Riley, her second oldest child.  She put together this amazing photo collage for Riley.

Around 75 people came to send off Riley....coaches, football players, childhood friends, families, etc.  My daughter is the most amazing home party planner, and has more energy than anyone I know.

She had chicken fingers, dips and all kinds of chips, charcuterie board, and veggie tray at the "Mess Hall" counter.   Patriotic Twinkies, cupcakes, Oreos,  and candies were at the "Sweet Liberty" table.

These decorated cookies were made by a Vets wife, and were so beautiful.

Decorations everywhere!

More love!

Flower arrangements that my daughter made.

Granddaughter Cissy, Riley's sister, and granddaughter, Avery, Riley's cousin enjoyed the food.

Grandson Caiden, Riley's younger brother, was there for support.

Riley was such a good sport about getting his picture with everyone!

Riley is so tall!  On the mantle, my daughter had pictures of my grandfather, who was in the Army, and died before I was born; my dad, who was in the Navy;  my hubby, who was in the Army Reserves; his paternal great grandfather, who was in the Army; Riley's step-dad's Dad, who was in the Navy; Riley's paternal grandfather, his Dad's dad,  who was in the Marines; Connor, who is in the Marines, and then Riley.

Thanks Riley for your service!  He gets sworn in on July 5, 2022, and then leaves for boot camp.  God bless this grandson, and God Bless America.  Please pray for him and for Connor, and for all those who give of their service.  Pray for our country.

Thank you for your visit!  xo

  2. What a wonderful party and send off for Riley! Molly is the hostess the mostest, I love flowers in the boot and ‘Sweet Liberty’ and ‘Mess Hall’ theme food tables. Such a long line of servicemen to look up to in your family Kitty and you look so cute in your camo shirt. :) Thoughts and prayers for Riley as he starts this new chapter in his life and for Connor’s continued safety too. Molly must be so proud of the choices they’ve made to serve our country. We’re the Land of the Free Because of the Brave. Happy Independence Day ♥

  4. WOWOW! What a well thought out party! Molly really added so many special details to make this special for Riley! Very exciting time...yet I'm sure it's hard for her going to have TWO boys in the service! But how proud you all are I'm sure. I couldn't believe the cookies were real - I thought they were purchased patches! Amazing! This was well worth sharing - I loved all the pictures of your family too. I think I would know them all if I passed them on the street. =)

  5. What a fun and most decorative party for Riley. Your beautiful daughter done an amazing job on his party. WOW! I love all of the pictures. Riley is so blessed to have such a precious family and most loving friends. He is on my prayer list as is Connor. I thank the Lord for our military. The things they do, go through and deal with would be much more than my infinite little mind could grasp. Kitty, that picture of you and Riley and the one with your daughter just blessed me so much. Prayers abounding. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
