Mini Crescent Roll Tarts with Gouda and Apple Cider Fruit Spread

I have a yummy appetizer that's quick and easy, if you need one for Thanksgiving. Jenna, at The Painted Apron, is always baking up something good.  Recently she shared an appetizer, Cheesy Cranberry, Pistachio & Bacon Tarts, that caught my eye,  since I had a can of crescent rolls and some Trader Joe's Apple Cider Fruit Spread that I wanted to do something with.  This appetizer would be great for any time, just mixing up what cheese or toppings you have.

I used my pretty Johnson Brothers Harvest Time teacup one last time before I put it away until next Fall.

These appetizers come together so quickly, and they are like mini versions of one of my all-time favorite appetizers, which is Baked Gouda, which my family loves!

Mini Crescent Roll Tarts with Gouda and Fruit Spread

These little bite size gems are perfect for a tea party or for a quick party appetizer. Try variations with different cheeses and toppings.

  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • cubes of Gouda cheese (or whatever cheese you prefer)
  • Apple Cider Fruit Spread (from Trader Joe's), or any kind of preserves, topping, etc.

  1. Unroll dough into a rectangle. Using the sheet of crescent roll makes it easy, but I had the 8 count of dough, and pressed the seams together. Cut into 24 squares.
  2. Place each square into a non-stick or silicone mini muffin pan. I did not spray my non-stick pan and they popped right out.
  3. Add a cube of cheese in the bottom of the tart; top with a bit of the apple cider fruit spread.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Serve warm or at room temperature.

You can freeze these after they are baked and cooled. Just thaw and reheat in the oven to warm them up.

Thank you for your visit!  xo
