Pretzel Shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day
Please join me for a cup of Irish Tea and some quick and easy shamrock pretzel treats. It's still a little chilly and damp here, so we will sit by the fire.
You can choose this Belleek teacup....
....or maybe you'd like this very old Johnson Bros Rolland teacup, which has Celtic knots?
My beloved mom gave this kissing leprechaun couple so many years ago.
My late beloved hubby posed by this knight in shining armor, when we were on our trip to Ireland in 2009, because he was my Knight!
I had the pleasure of keeping my two youngest granddaughters a week ago while my youngest son planted 146 shrubs/plants in his backyard. Even little Hayden wanted a cup of tea in her "yellow" cup.
Harper loves projects and here she is making our easy pretzel treats.
Didn't the shamrocks turn out so cute?? My friend, Joy, sent me a picture of these because she knows that I like to do fun things with my grands. Thanks, Joy! All you do is place the three pretzels and the stick pretzel together on parchment paper, place a Rolo in the center and put them in a 250 degree oven for 3-5 minutes. Mine did better with 5 minutes. When they come out, you place a green M&M in the middle and press to "glue" the pieces together. You can then stick the tray in the freezer to harden quickly.
Here is sweet Hayden.
Here is sweet Harper.
I hope all of you will have a Happy St. Patrick's Day, and remain healthy and happy in the midst of all that's going on in the world. Let's pray for an end to the coronavirus.
I will take some tea in the Belleek cup, please. I don't suppose there will be much celebration of St Patrick's Day this year....how sad. But that is okay as you lovely Kitty will be fine in your lovely home, preparing delightful tea parties with your sweet grandchildren to keep you company. Love the photo of your dear Knight! Those memories of your visit to Ireland with your beloved would bring a smile to your heart.
ReplyDeleteKitty, Your grandgirls are so adorable sporting their St. Pat's glasses! What a fun and easy treat too for them to make. We were doing some gardening clean up and hauling mulch this weekend. I can't begin to imagine planting as many shrubs as your son...oh my aching back :) Stay cozy. ♥

ReplyDeleteHayden and Harper are so fun! I just love your dear hubby - the Knight in Shining Armor, and that you guys got to go to Ireland together! Now that I found out we are both a little over 20% Irish (don't know where that comes from though) we want to go there some day! Your tea cups are so perfect. Have you ever done a post on where you store them all?
ReplyDeleteHi Kitty,
ReplyDeleteYou are so blessed to have your little cuties in your kitchen making such awesome goodies. I know that you are taking special care just now and hoping we get some relief from all of this rain. Hope you are having a great week and thanks so much for sharing with us at Full Plate Thursday,476.
