I have adapted the original recipe & do it all in a blender. The old recipe used a rotary beater...remember those??!! I don't even own one anymore!!!

4 eggs
2 cups milk
1 1/2 cup flour
2/3 cup sugar
1 t. salt
jelly
confectioners sugar
sugar & cinnamon
Combine the eggs & milk in a blender & blend. Add the flour, sugar & salt & blend until smooth.
Lightly grease a 10" nonstick skillet with butter & heat for 1-2 minutes. Pour 1/2 c. batter into skillet, tilting skillet back & forth until it coats the bottom evenly. When lightly browned, loosen the edges with a spatula & turn over onto a platter. You will need to butter the skillet each time.
Have your helper spread the pancake with butter & then sprinkle with sugar & cinnamon. You also may, instead, spread the pancake with jelly. Roll up the pancake. Dust with confectioners sugar. We also like sliced strawberries in the middle with whipped cream on top!
Makes about 8-10 pancakes

Your sweet assistant must have done a great job because the German pancakes look delicious! They do remind me of crepes as another comment mentioned.

Hi Kitty, I love German pancakes, but have not made them for years. I think I see them on the agenda. Raspberry jam is my favorite. Bottled a batch a few weeks ago. Thanks for sharing the recipe with SYC.

I just had to pop over and check out your German pancake recipe. I have a dear friend who is originally from Romania and she makes something similar...they always melt in my mouth. I will have to make some soon :) Love you!
