Monkey Bread (small version)

Happy Labor Day!  I'm enjoying some leftover Monkey Bread from my brunch last weekend.

I love my mini cake pedestal that I received from Linda at Life and Linda last year.  It's the perfect size for small versions.  My small bundt pan cakes fit on it perfectly.  The pretty crocheted cloth was one of my late mom's.

This Polka Rose teacup came from the 100 year collection of Royal Albert that my youngest son and daughter-in-law gave me.

This  cutie pie polka dot vase was one that my daughter gave me.  She makes me smile, both my daughter and the vase.

At my fitness club, they had a zumba party for us this past week.  it was such fun, and they provided the leis, the sun glasses, and food and drinks afterwards.

My granddaughter, Avery, is here about to hit the volleyball.  They won!  She plays libero, and that's why she's in a different colored shirt.

Cissy was named cheerleader of the week, and has on a special sash.

My daughter and Cissy decorated Caiden's locker for his football game.

Monkey Bread (small version)

Monkey Bread (small version)

I figured out a way to make a smaller version of Monkey Bread to fit in my small bundt pan, without having lots of leftovers.

Ingredients

  • 2-7.5 oz cans or 1-16 oz can of biscuits
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Spray a small bundt pan with cooking spray.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Cut the biscuits into quarters.
  4. Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a bag
  5. Place several pieces of biscuits into the bag and shake to coat all sides; continue until all the pieces are coated.
  6. Place the pieces into the bundt pan.
  7. Mix the brown sugar into the melted butter and stir well.
  8. Pour over the biscuit pieces in the bundt pan.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool in pan for 5 minutes and then invert onto your serving platter or dish.
  10. Serve warm.

Notes

You could also do this recipe in a bread pan, or muffin tins, adjusting the time.

Leftovers keep for a few days; just reheat in the microwave.

Thank you for your visit!  xo

Love your small pedestal cake stand - it's perfect to display things too - love those sizes. And amen to smaller sizes of anything fattening, haha. Big hugs.

  14. I have never eaten Monkey Bread! I don't know why! I guess because I've never made it, and no one I know has ever served it at an event. What is WRONG with us?!??!?! I would want to make a smaller version like this one since there are only 2 of us, and one of us who is NOT ME doesn't care for leftovers.🙄

I tried Zumba some years back. Too fast and furious for my old bones (that was pre-surgery), but it looks like a ton of fun! I have a hard time remembering dance steps, but maybe it's something to try again just for extra exercise. I love my weight training, but I'd welcome something else to augment the cardio part!

    Have a fantabulous weekend!
