No Bake Num Nums

It's a beautiful day in March! I'm enjoying tea on my patio with these delicious treats that bloggy buddy Lynn from Happier Than A Pig In Mud shared back around Christmas time.  I made them for my cookie tray and they were a big hit.  The vase was a wedding gift, back in 1970, and the hankie was my mom's.

You can add whatever seasonal sprinkles to them, and they're a quick and easy gift.

Isn't my Belleek teacup so dainty?

This darling, crazed teapot was one that I bought here, but is from County Cork, Ireland, where my Dad's relatives came from.

This is a long ago cross stitch pillow cover I made.

I have a cousin that loves doing genealogy and he sent me this picture of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, where my Great Great grandparents on my Dad's Mother's side, were married, on January 30, 1856.   My Great Great Grandmother was named Catherine Barry, like my spelling.  My Great Great Grandfather was named Dennis Driscoll.  She was 19 and he was 35!  They had 10 children.

Yield: depends on how big you form them
Author: Kitty, recipe is from Lynn at Happier Than A Pig In Mud

These are yummy little treats and perfect for gifting!

Ingredients

  • 1 package white chocolate chips or 10-12 ounces of candy melts (I used 12 ounces of vanilla Almond Bark); Candiquik would work great too)
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup rice krispie cereal
  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • optional - sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, melt the chips, candy melts or almond bark in microwave.
  2. Stir in peanut butter.
  3. Stir in the rest of the ingredients.
  4. Drop by spoonful onto wax paper or parchment lined baking sheets. Top with sprinkles.
  5. Allow to firm up.

One last Birthday celebration with family members that couldn't come last week due to volleyball tournaments for Avery and pink eye for Ella.  We had dinner at their house and it was such a nice evening.

How fun to have 2 birthday celebrations! I also have a cousin that researched our family tree and made us a chart that I framed and hung in my foyer, It traces my roots all the way back to the Mayflower and beyond! Isn't it wonderful to have a peek into your family's past? I hope you have a wonderful week ahead, we are in full Spring here with trees and flowers blooming!

  10. It looks like a beautiful day on your porch with the dappled sunlight Kitty and adore your Belleek teacup and pretty shamrock teapot! ☘️
What a yummy no bake treat. I think genealogy is fascinating, how fun your cousin sent you that photo. I know 10 children wasn’t all that uncommon for those days but the thought makes me shudder, especially without the medical care and drugs we have now. People were made from stern stuff back in the day! Hope you're enjoying some beautiful weather this week 💚
