3/4 cup mayonnaise (I use light)
1/4 cup sugar (or sugar substitute)
1 and 1/2 T. white vinegar
1 (16-ounce package broccoli flowerets (I use 3 crowns)
1 (11-ounce can) mandarin oranges, drained (I omitted)
1 small purple onion, chopped
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
Combine first 3 ingredients; add broccoli and next 3 ingredients. Chill 8 hours. Top with almonds.
Yield: 12 servings

How did you know this is what I'm hungry for? We saw this salad at Earth Fare...our big health food store and I almost got some! It was $10.99 a pound and I decided I would try to make some soon! Now I have the recipe! THANKS!
ReplyDeleteI've never made broccoli salad, but I love it. I will certainly make this and since I'm always looking for ways to cut calories and fat, I will make it with the lite and the sugar substitute. I think it will be delicious. I'm so glad you shared it. I love that pitcher and bowl. Just my type.
