CharcuTEArie Party

My Bible Study group from last year came over.

We had a CharcuTEArie party and everyone signed up to bring something.  People love to feel part of something by participating.   We had mixed nuts, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, assortment of crackers, pickles, olives, cheese, salami wrapped around cheese, chocolates, and I made Blueberry Scones with Mock Devonshire Cream.

Making it easy for cleanup, teacups that are dishwasher safe, were chosen.  It's too hot in Texas for hot tea, but iced tea was so refreshing.  Using the pretty teacups for our food was perfect.

I didn't get a picture of the food display, but this was the table where we arranged everything.

We all sat in my dining room table, and I used paper plates for the scones and pretty paper napkins, and plastic cups for our iced tea, to continue with ease in cleanup.     The flavors of iced tea were:  Blackberry & Raspberry, Strawberry Rose, and Black Current.

For pretty ideas for a charcuTEArie party,  check out Mary's post at  Home Is Where The Boat Is.

Here are all the lovely ladies ready to enjoy our teacups filled with treats.

I took my freshmen college-bound granddaughter, Avery, out shopping for school supplies.

Soon-to-be a freshmen in high school, granddaughter, Ella, made the A Volleyball team at the largest high school in Texas, with almost 7,000 students!!

Thank you for your visit!  xo

I'm sharing with these parties:

  1. That looks like a lovely tea! I can't imagine 7000 students in a school; I think our local high schools have close to 1,000.... but not quite. Pretty much anyone that wants to play a sport gets to play but that is quite an accomplishment for your granddaughter.

  6. Kitty, What a perfect way to entertain your Bible Study Group! Having everyone bring a charcuTEArie item makes it so much easier on the hostess, aka, you. 😊 Love your pretty group of teacups waiting to be filled, along with your lovely attendees! It’s too hot for hot tea and turning on the oven, so kudos to you for making scones! Love your pretty embroidered table square with teacups. Congratulations to Ella, what an accomplishment with that many students…7000, wow, everything IS bigger in Texas! Hope you’re managing to stay cool and wishing you a wonderful week ahead! ♥
