Favorite Strawberry Pie

It's strawberry season!

My iced teatime is on my favorite strawberry tablecloth with matching napkins from my friend Bernideen at Bernideen's Teatime Blog.  Isn't the embroidery so beautiful, and it fits my patio table so perfectly.  Bernideen sent to this me several years ago and I cherish it.  I'm having chocolate covered strawberry herbal iced tea from my friend Marsha, at The Better Baker.  It's so refreshing  with our temperatures heading towards 100 degrees.

My little pot is holding Soiree Kawaii White Pepperemint (Catharanthus).  It looks like a mini vinca plant.

THIS PIE is a family favorite and I have been making it for probably 55 years, before I had kids.  I cut the recipe from a Columbus, Ohio newspaper and it is so good!  It's on my beautiful strawberry plate from Pier 1.  They had the prettiest plates.  Click on the link for the strawberry pie recipe.

Last week was a busy one.  On the top is Avery and I at Cava, a new Mediterranean restaurant for me, and one that Avery chose.  Avery and Landon wanted to come over and make cake pops, and so that's what we did!  They are the cutest, sweetest, fun couple.  On the left, we had July 4th parties at my fitness club of  a dance party, and total body fitness.  We also had an aqua party with many of us wearing matching patriotic swimsuits, but I've left that photo out. 😉

Thank you for your visit!  xo

I'm sharing with these parties:

  2. Kitty, your strawberry pie looks absolutely irresistible! 🍓 The fresh berries are so vibrant, and that glossy filling has me wishing I could grab a fork through the screen. Your beautiful tablecloth and coordinating napkins make such a cheerful summer setting—they pair perfectly with the pie and create such a warm, inviting table. I always enjoy how you style your recipes with pretty seasonal touches. This looks like the perfect dessert for a summer gathering. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead and stay cool!❤️

  3. Strawberry pie is such a goos summer treat. Your holiday fun kept you busy! I love seeing your grand wanting to bring her significant other to your home, and yo bake, no less! Have a great week, Kitty. Keep that pretry plant away from your resident pests!

  5. What a refreshing table this morning Kitty...The table cloth caught my eye immediately...the strawberry embroidery is gorgeous on it and the napkin. That strawberry pie looks delish and of course I printed out your recipe. I LOVE recipes that are over 50 years old as it reminds me of my grandmother's recipes. She was such a good 'comfort food and dessert' cook. Plus she canned everything! I would have guessed the white peppermint was vinca so thanks for the clarification...it is so pretty. You and Avery look so happy and I know I have said it before but your family wanting to spend time with you is so precious. I don't get to see my grands as much since we live so far apart, but they used to drop by my house all the time when we lived in the same town. Now we have to 'face time' and text daily. As far as photos of us in bathing suits...what happens in the pool stays in the pool...is my new motto. LOL. Hugs dear friend.
