Maple Pecan Pie Bars and Stuffed Peppers

It finally cooled off here enough to have the fireplace going! Maple Pecan Pie bars were made in advance to freeze for Thanksgiving.  I updated my recipe for  Pecan Pie Bars by subbing maple syrup for the honey in the recipe.

I put a bud vase inside this glass vase, and inserted some of my collection of pine cones in the large one.  Does anyone else love pone cones like I do?

This Fitz and Floyd teapot is such a beautiful work of art and one that I've truly loved using.

Isn't the mushroom/acorn top just so pretty on the leaf with the berries?  Maple Espresso tea from Trader Joe's is what's inside.

My Johnson Bros English Countryside teacup is where I want to jump right into the scene.

This pretty cutwork table runner was from my beloved mom and the napkin was from my late Great Aunt Kitty.  The platter is English Countryside, also, and matches the teacup.

You can find the recipe for the Pecan Pie Bars by clicking here.

If you'd like a good recipe for Stuffed Peppers, click here.  They're so good, and my late beloved hubby loved them.  I prefer the red, orange or yellow peppers for stuffing, and I cut them in half when they're so large.

Happy Thanksgiving blessings to each of you and thank you for your visit!   I am grateful to each of you that takes the time to read my little blog.   xo

  2. Good morning Kitting, I’m oohing and aahing over all your pretty treasures, from your cutwork lace runner, teapot, transferware platter and teacup. Hooray for cooler, seasonal temperatures so you can cozy up to the fireplace! Your maple pecan pie bars look and sound SO good and I especially love your pretty Fitz and Floyd teapot with the basketweave design and mushroom and acorn lid. Your vase-within-a-vase with pinecones makes a pretty seasonal display too. Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving week. 🦃🧡

  4. Good morning, Kitty. I love your beautiful table with the fire in the background. It has been unusually warm here, cooling off later this week. The Fitz and Floyd teapot is lovely with its mushroom and acorn lid. The older pieces of F&F are stunning. The teacup is perfect for the season. A maple pecan bar would be delicious with my coffee this morning. Happy Thanksgiving Kitty🧡

  8. Your Fitz and Floyd teapots are truly functional works of art!

When I was in elementary school, we collected pine cones and used them to make a Christmas wreath for an art project. Sadly, my pinecone wreath bit the dust a few years ago. But my brother's pinecone tree is still going strong!

  12. I, too, like pine cones. They are a little hard to find here in the desert. But if we go to the high country, there are lots of pines and pine cones.
I had the fireplace on this week, too!
I want to have a pecan bar for breakfast this morning. They sure do look good.
I love your transferware platter and teacup. They both go so well with the F&F teapot. It is so cute with a mushroom and an acorn on the lid.
Your mother’s lace runner and your great aunt’s napkin are sweet treasures. So pretty!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, dear Kitty!
