Easy Valentine Treat

Our temperatures turned frigid here in the Dallas, Texas area, and we need to warm up by the fire!  My little vintage Valentine girl is hostessing our party today.  She feels right at home on top of this vintage designed tablecloth.

Look at all these cute designs.  I made this tablecloth years ago, and fell in love with the fabric.

My pretty teacup that I received a few years ago from Stephanie's teacup exchange feels perfect for today's vintage-inspired tea.

Cissy and I made chocolate covered Oreos for a Valentine treat.   We used melted white almond bark (melts like a dream!), and pink candy melts (we had to add a little vegetable oil to thin) to dip the cookies into, and then immediately sprinkled them with Valentine sprinkles.  It's such an easy treat and her family loved them!

I kept a few to munch on, too.  YUM!

Happy Valentine's Day to you!  xxoo

I am sharing this with these lovely parties:

  8. I love the tablecloth! The Valentine oreos are a lovely idea and yes, so easy with the white almond bark. Several years ago my hubby and I took a factory tour at Wilburs' Chocolate in Freeport ME, and we made some white-chocolate covered oreos with spring-themed sprinkles at the end of the tour. It was a fun experience.

Thanks for sharing with us! Always love to see what you and Cissy are up to.

We love Oreo cookies, and have the peppermint bark ones in the cookie jar at the moment. They were limited edition for Christmas, so we bought a stash to keep in the pantry. Happy Valentine's Day!

  30. YUM! looks delicious. I adore all the Valentine decor Kitty. Love the material you used to make tablecloth. Someone told me the best time to get the seasonal material on sale was right after the holiday. I think I might need to check out some V-Day material for next year. Your Cissy is always precious and especially to see how she loves you so much. Happy Valentine's Day dear Kitty. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

These chocolate-dipped Oreos are a great idea for a Valentine's treat. My uncle's wife makes these at Christmas, and we all fight over them when she gives to our family. :D I like the idea of using white and pink candy coating for Valentine's -- so pretty.

Cissy is really a treasure, Kitty, but I know I don't have to tell you that. Have a wonderful week, my friend!

    Big hugs,
